I believe the search function when you tap the binaculars is a great option and have seen the check list sections once before. I cannot get it to work on ipad and iphone. Is their a protocall other than tap the binoculars
Tapping the binoculars locates the highlighted item if it has scrolled off screen. If it is already on screen in the proper place it won’t do anything.
If you press-and-hold the binoculars it will bring up the Sections Menu which you are referring to as the search function. You can also perform the same action from the slide-out menu - Toggle Sections Menu.
