Regards tim, I am in the same boat as you. I submitted a request for help a few weeks ago but no response. I like the light colour appearance of the original MiraCheck which I spent many hours to create my required checklists.
Goose Co-pilot will not allow me to access nor download MiraCheck.
Double posting because I forgot about this thread:
I signed up for a year thinking “eh”. Perhaps the wrong choice. I decided that after a support request email (for something unrelated) bounced and reading this I’d file a chargeback, which I wasn’t 100% comfortable with.
In the mean time I clicked “cancel my subscription” thinking that’d stop any renewal happening. While it has (probably) done that, it has also cancelled my Pro features completely. So now I’m demoted to a free pleb, I’m $50 USD out of pocket and I can’t contact support because the domain has no MX record.
I will be feeling less guilty about a chargeback after not even a week.
Very disappointing
Our only way of getting anything back from Mirko seems to be the GitHub of his new project. Suggest raising an issue here:
I don’t understand why he won’t post here
With the website and support email down…. I’ve asked Mirko how we can get in contact with him for support / billing requests here: Goose support email broken · Issue #7 · mirkohahn/hasabrewery-client-esp-temp · GitHub
LOL - Mirko has deleted the linked repository and its associated issues. This community went dark for a couple of days but happy to see its now back up - for now?
Stu
I am a lifetime member and my two custom checklists disappeared. It looks like I have been downgraded to “free” from my “Pro” status. Anyone having the same issue?
Same happened to me. I was then reinstated to Goose dark theme & not able to access MiraCheck light theme that I prefer.
How did you get a hold of them?
No one has yet as far as I know? It would seem the developer is ignoring the situation.
As most of you are aware Aerosys (who acquired the Miracheck product a while ago and rebranded it as Goose Copilot) is under administration and the owner Mirko is longer providing any product support.
I have been a passionate customer of Miracheck well before it was acquired by Mirko / Aerosys. Initially I was excited about the promises Mirko made at the start when this buyout was announced. Seeing this amazing product and legacy get destroyed has been extremely disappointing. What is even more disappointing is after much research and trialing other checklist apps…. There simply isn’t an alternative app that even comes close to what Miracheck / Goose was!
I can see from visiting this forum over the years and particularly recently … there is a lot of users who rely on this checklist app and eager to see it be kept alive in some form or another!
I’ve also had a lot of users PM me directly asking questions including what I’m now using , alternatives, etc.
So With all that in mind and to avoid the risk loosing contact with other passionate / likeminded / interested users if something was to ever happen to this forum , i have setup a WhatsApp group if anyone wants to join:
We can use this WhatsApp group to chat about the future of this app as well as other options.
Ultimately It would also be fantastic to see Miracheck in some form or another be brought back to life!
If you’d prefer not to partake in a WhatsApp group, but rather receive updates if I find out any valuable information or have any suggestions … I’ve also setup a mailing list here too:
Neither the WhatsApp group or Mailing List is affiliated with any company (Goose, Miracheck, etc).
Cheers
Tim
Great idea Tim.
Personally I favour MiraCheck light theme and how it operates.
I was concerned about the future existence of MiraCheck so I produced an iPad Checklist with ticks. -this is my backup.
Agreed about dark vs light theme… the dark theme is awful … especially in the checklist editor.
Although there are benefits having the options to select light and dark modes (as you desire) especially for night flights
