IOS pressure sensor uses ? feature request

how about using the IOS devices pressure sensor to help you set your power settings (or for pressurized cabins altitude alerts and checklist) ?
example: you would have to enter your power chart (already have mine entered) then the app could pre highlight and talk the current power setting for the altitude say if you were at 5000 msl and it could say xxx manifold pressure. Just a thought…

May I ask you show a screenshot of how you saved this data into a checklist

It is something we will take a look at. We have had a few requests for an Altitude Alert which seems like would use the same sensor.

It looks like @Neels has a question on how you put your power chart data in. Maybe you can share?

@Neels Use a label :slight_smile:
and I format liek this:

MAP ALTITUDE TEMP F
25.8 Sea Level 59
25.5 1,000 55
25.2 2,000 52
25.1 2,500 50
24.9 3,000 48
24.7 3,500 46
24.6 4,000 45
24.5 4,500 43
24.4 5,000 41
24.3 5,500 39
24.1 6,000 38
23.9 6,500 36
23.8 7,000 34
8,000 31

Correct manifold pressure approximately 0.18" Hg for each 10 Degree F variation in induction air temperature from standard altitude temperature. Add manifold pressure for air temperature above standard; subtract for temperature below standard.

so the code to enter the above as a label is:
| MAP | ALTITUDE | TEMP F|
|-------|----------------|-----------|
| 25.8 | Sea Level | 59 |
| 25.5 | 1,000 |55 |
| 25.2 | 2,000 | 52 |
|25.1 | 2,500 | 50 |
| 24.9 | 3,000 | 48 |
| 24.7 | 3,500 | 46 |
| 24.6 | 4,000 | 45 |
| 24.5 | 4,500 | 43 |
| 24.4 | 5,000 | 41 |
| 24.3 | 5,500 | 39 |
| 24.1 | 6,000 | 38 |
| 23.9 | 6,500 | 36 |
| 23.8 | 7,000 | 34|
| | 8,000 | 31|
Correct manifold pressure approximately 0.18" Hg for each 10 Degree F variation in induction air temperature from standard altitude temperature. Add manifold pressure for air temperature above standard; subtract for temperature below standard.

Any update on altitude/gps triggers?
Here’s a simple-looking app that implements these in a useful way.
