I’m using the stock Cessna T206 checklist, which I copied and then edited. The pre-Flight is all fine, then I get to START. Mira does not stop between items, but just powers straight through them till the end. She then moves to PRE-TAXI, reads the first item, then pauses for a response as she should.
Ideas on what to check for in my “runaway” section?
If you tap the Section Header Mira will read all items in that section. If using voice, say READ SECTION. When she is reading you can tap to pause/resume.
How do I go to a particular section in the “EMERGENCY” list and have it play as a Challenge/Response? As a default, Mira starts with the first Section, but, if I click the header, she just reads the whole section, and far too fast to be helpful.
Also, because she just runs through the section without stopping, and does not check any items, linking does not work.
just to confirm:
Do you (really!?) want to start in Challenge/Response or just don’t want Goose to auto-read?
The easiest way to go to a particular checklist is to tell Goose to “Go to [CHECKLIST NAME]”. This could be “Go to Emergency” or “Go to Engine Failure After Takeoff”.
The easiest way is to select “Start in Birdseye View” (see picture), which than always by default starts in birdseye view, showing you all the available emergency checklists when going to emergencies.
Selecting a checklist does not trigger the auto read
Does that help / solve your problem already?
My very personal(!) take on Emergency procedures is that you don’t want to be locked in to the Challenge/Response phraseology when in distress and rather have somewhat more natural response options.
But again, this is a personal note!
If you do want to enforce C/R please let me know and I will try to help as well.
